Walk By Faith. Not By Sight

We can see to the corner but God can see around the corner

I came across this writing from a dear friend @thecuriousrise on Instagram a few weeks ago, and I’ve thought about it nearly every day since.

Here is how it was written:

“I have reclaimed the word, GOD. The world has distorted the meaning, but so many of us are claiming it back.

There is only one creator and one true source of creation. The Most-High is God.

Our bond with God has been hijacked through the language.

Using words like Universe, Mother Earth, and Mother Nature are ways to bypass the true sense and power of GOD.

This word is powerful, and when using it, you are getting rid of the fear of being labeled and viewed as "religious," as this could be seen as an "insult" nowadays.

The word "religion" comes from the Latin "Religare," which means to bond with God.

The word "spiritual" comes from "Spiritus," which means "breath."

As we are all breathing, we are all spiritual beings.

So are you simply a breather, or are you bonding with God?

It's time to reclaim your powers and use the right words.

Be proud for wanting to bond with God.

The recipe is not necessarily within a book but surely within your heart.

Words are spells.

Choose them wisely

And what this reminded me was to Walk By Faith. Not By Sight.

It’s easier said than done, but so important to remember.

We must be careful not to walk by what we can see, hear, or feel but trust that God has our best interests in mind even when it doesn’t make sense.

“For we live by faith, not by sight.”

2 Corinthians 5:7

It can be tough to live by this, but I think it’s a good reminder to stay focused on God’s plan and not your plan.

We can only see to the corner, but God can see around the corner.

He knows what’s best for us even when it’s hard to understand why things happen the way they do.

So, as we navigate this life, let's remember to walk by faith and not by sight.

No matter how difficult the journey may be, God will always provide a bright light of hope to guide us.

It may be hard, but I always find comfort in knowing that if I put my trust in Him, He will never leave me alone and will continue to lead me down the path He has laid out for me.

Final Thoughts

Trust that God has your back and that everything happens for a reason, even when it doesn’t make sense.

In any hard circumstances, take solace in knowing that God will never abandon you and will always be there to provide both guidance and comfort along your journey.
